Student Experience Manager

As the CDS Student Experience Manager, Alessandra works closely with the faculty and administrative leadership of the Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences (CDS). She is responsible for all career support initiatives and services for CDS students. She organizes and supervises programs to assist CDS students in the area of career development and collaborates with campus and industry partners to engage the CDS student population. As Student Experience Manager she anchors CDS's commitment to fostering a sense of communal engagement and belonging for all CDS students.

Her early career in the tourism and hospitality industry ignited a passion for connecting with people. Working with clients at major events like the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany instilled in her the importance of building relationships and exceeding expectations. This passion propelled her towards a career in the telecommunications industry, where she honed her skills in marketing, communications, events, and e-commerce. Notably, she thrived at Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) until 2020, focusing on expanding their reach through new offerings in home internet and mobile data services.

In 2021, Alessandra embarked on a fulfilling journey in higher education. Armed with an MBA in Strategic Communication, a Bachelor's in Marketing, and a technical degree in Tourism & Hospitality, Alessandra brought a diverse academic and professional background to her previous role as Operations Manager at Wentworth Institute of Technology's School of Computing & Data Science. There, she successfully planned and executed various projects and events for faculty, students, families, and school partners.

Aside from her work, this Rio de Janeiro native embraces sunshine, yoga, good music, and good food. She always enjoys sharing her culture and experiences while eagerly learning from others.
