Student Success Specialist for Online Master’s in Data Science

Annie joined the CDS Online Master’s in Data Science team in August 2024 as the Student Success Specialist. As their main point of contact, Annie advises and assists online students on their path to degree completion. Her primary duties include advising online students, monitoring students academic progress, providing guidance and helping students locate and navigate the resources they need to successfully complete their degree program. Annie will also host events to foster community throughout the program.

Prior to joining CDS, Annie worked for Boston University Metropolitan College for 9 years, assisting and advising Graduate and Undergraduate students from the point of inquiry to graduation. Annie began her career at BU Metropolitan College as an Enrollment Advisor to METs Undergraduate and Graduate students in 2015. In 2018, she was promoted to Senior Enrollment Advisor. Annie oversaw all incoming inquiries at BU Metropolitan College at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level, assisting MET students from inquiry to submitted application. In 2022, Annie was promoted to BU Metropolitan College’s Computer Science department as the Senior Academic Program Administrator. In this role, Annie advised Graduate level online Computer Science students from the point of admission to graduation.

Prior to her career in Higher Education, she worked for a Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for eight years, starting as a Dietary Aide while completing her Undergraduate degree. Shortly after completing her Undergraduate degree, she was promoted to Social Service Assistant. While completing her MS in Human Services at UMass Boston she was promoted to Human Resources Assistant. While completing her MS in Human Services Annie had an incredibly positive experience with her advisor. This experience made Annie switch career paths to Higher Education and since then, has been working towards her goal of advising students, to ensure a positive experience throughout their educational career.

Annie earned her BA in Print Journalism from Quinnipiac University in 2008, her MS in Human Services from UMass Boston in 2013 and, most recently, her Ed.M. in Higher Education Administration from Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development.
