David Kim

Learning Facilitator for Online Master’s in Data Science

David joined the Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences in 2024 as the Learning Facilitator for the Online Data Science Master’s Degree Program. As the main point of contact for OMDS students, he ensures a positive and engaging learning experience in their online courses. He supports students by answering questions, holding online office hours, and participating in discussion forums. David provides feedback on assignments, assists with grading, and collaborates with faculty to address any issues. He is committed to improving course delivery and operations while taking on various administrative duties to enhance student learning.

While pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Data Science with a minor in Business Administration at Boston University, David worked as a Teaching Assistant at both the Faculty of Computing and Data Science (CDS) and the Questrom School of Business. In these roles, he supported courses like DS 310 and BA 305 by leading discussion sections, conducting office hours, and organizing exam preparation sessions. Before attending Boston University, David served in the South Korean Navy as a Translator/Interpreter and a Squad Leader at the Submarine Force Command.
