John Bestavros
Learning Facilitator
John Bestavros joined the Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences as a Learning Facilitator in January 2025. While studying at Boston University, John worked as a software development intern at tech startup Violet Data, Inc., assisting in the upgrading and migration of decades-old software to new platforms. After graduating from Boston University in the class of 2023 with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Data Science, he spent three semesters volunteering at the BU Spark! experiential learning lab, offering his counsel to undergraduate students in need of assistance in projects relating to their coursework. John has a strong and unwavering passion for data science, and leverages that passion to help facilitate a healthy and collaborative learning environment for students.
