Learning Facilitator for Online Master’s in Data Science
Parita joined the Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences at Boston University in 2024 as the Learning Facilitator for the Online Master’s Degree Program in Data Science. She acts as the primary academic contact for students in this role, fostering an enjoyable and interactive learning environment. She oversees the implementation of academic content, offers timely feedback, responds to student inquiries, and collaborates with faculty to improve course delivery and operations.
With over four years of experience in the IT industry, Parita has a strong foundation in software development, data science and machine learning. She worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Boston University, mentoring students in the Data Science with Python course, helping them navigate complex concepts and fostering a collaborative learning environment. She also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Boston University and contributed to research projects in the healthcare and real estate sectors by conducting extensive exploratory data analysis to provide valuable insights.
Parita holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Data Analytics from Boston University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Mumbai University. With a passion for data science and machine learning, she is committed to delivering a stellar online education experience and fostering a student-centric learning environment.
