CELOP Current Student – Yang Yuzhu, China
1. What is your name?
My name is Yang Yuzhu. Maybe it’s a little bit difficult to read it correctly, so you can call me Victoria.
2. Where are you from?
I was born in Jinzhou, Liaoning province. It’s a coastal city located in Northeast China. Also it’s famous for its barbecue. I live in Tianjin now.
3. What program are you currently enrolled in at CELOP?
Four weeks’ Future STEM Leaders (Spring 2019).
4. What’s your favorite place on campus at Boston University?
Of course CELOP! I really enjoy myself here. The lobby is my favorite place to stay. Because it’s easy to make new friends and I can know about all kinds of activities the first time.
5. What do you like most about CELOP?
I like the people here most, they are so kind! Though I have too many questions, they are always patient and passionate.
6. Why did you choose CELOP?
I got the information from the website of our school, and I think it’s really a good choice for me to improve my spoken English. Also, I’m so interested in different culture, so I just signed up without hesitation.
7. Where did you attend college for your undergraduate degree? What was your major and when did you graduate?
Hebei University. And I major in computer science. I’ll graduate in 2021.
8. Tell us about what you want to do in the future. What is your dream job?
I think I’ll be an engineer in the future. Personally, it’s really cool to design programs by myself. I always admire someone who does well in coding.
9. What is your favorite thing to do in Boston?
I like hanging out best. I ‘m always interested in all kinds of beautiful sights, so it’s a good choice to walk through the streets and take a lot of pictures.
10. What is your favorite restaurant in Boston?
Xiangyu(湘遇), a Chinese food restaurant.
11. What would you tell someone who is thinking about studying at CELOP but is unsure?
Just come study with us, or you’ll regret. It’s a wonderful place for you to relax and tap your potential.
