Program Features
- Combine English studies with a credit-bearing course at BU Metropolitan College (MET)
- Choose a MET undergraduate course (100-499) worth 4 credits and receive a BU academic transcript
- Prepare for an undergraduate program through firsthand experience in a Boston University classroom
- Take advantage of university admissions resources, including free college advising and TOEFL waivers to Boston-area universities and colleges
- Experience life on a university campus: opt for BU on-campus housing and access resources available at a highly ranked research university
Curriculum
Combine 1 CELOP English course with 1 credit-bearing BU Metropolitan College (MET) course:
- CELOP English Course: Take skills courses at your individual language level in speaking and listening, academic writing, and reading and vocabulary
- MET Course: Work with a CELOP Advisor to select and enroll in a MET course (100-499)
- Develop skills for global competency and intercultural communication including teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, and more
- Join activities such as team research projects, guest speakers, and field trips

Class Schedule
Students participate in morning CELOP coursework 5 days per week and 1 evening MET class 1 day per week. The CELOP course is 12 weeks and divided into two 6-week terms. The MET course is 16 weeks.
