English Language and Culture

9:00 – 12:00 Monday to Friday

In the English Language and Culture class, you will improve your communication skills for general communication, increase your knowledge about English and learn about American culture. Your teachers will help you develop your speaking, writing and vocabulary skills, but you will also practice your reading, listening and grammar skills.

Volunteering and Community Service in the US

1:30 – 4:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

In the Volunteering and Community Services in the US class, you will learn about this important aspect of American culture. You will explore the role of service organizations in American culture in and out of the classroom. You will participate in at least 4 experiential learning activities, such as volunteer events and tours. Some examples of organizations Chuo students have worked with in the past include:
