Claire Harrison

Administrative Coordinator for Student Records

Claire Harrison is the Administrative Coordinator for Student Records at Boston University College of Fine Arts. She is a recent graduate from the Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) at UMass Amherst. She graduated with a BA in English and, in her senior year, completed an Honors Thesis titled “Planning for the Future at the End of the World: Using Storytelling to Combat Climate Anxiety.” Though she submitted her thesis in May 2023, she is realizing that it may well be a lifelong project. Outside of academics at UMass, Claire was a Peer Advisor at the CHC advising center and a founding member of the Baked Bean Society. At CHC, she worked among a phenomenal team of staff and students and found a true joy for working in higher education environments.

In her free time, Claire enjoys watching movies and TV, collaging, listening to music, and doodling. She is a nut about history, the law, and literature analysis and she has a habit of pulling meaning from any text set before her—whether it be writing, history, art, or simply life! Claire cares deeply about social justice and believes in the power of love and compassion to change the world. She recently realized that she might still be afraid of the dark. If you run into Claire on purpose or by accident, feel free to introduce yourself!
