Jewel Kim

Admissions Coordinator

Jewel Kim is the Admissions Coordinator for Boston University School of Music. Jewel received a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance degree and a minor in Arts Leadership from Boston University College of Fine Arts. She studied primarily with Rhonda Rider at BU and with many string faculty throughout four years. Jewel is thrilled to return to her alma mater and help hundreds of prospective students every year as an admissions coordinator at the School of Music.

She also has been an active performer in the Greater Boston music community and recently performed with the Boston Opera Collaborative for their production L’elisir d’amore. Jewel previously had an opportunity in the artist management field and executed numerous marketing projects for Adam Schoenberg, Seong-Jin Cho, Valerie Coleman (CFA’95, BUTI’89), and more. As featured in the student internship series by the College of Fine Arts, she promoted artists residing in Greater Boston through articles and social media posts during the pandemic.

During her free time, Jewel enjoys cooking, walking around the city, and visiting her favorite bakeries in Boston.
