The two-week Viola Workshop, under the direction of Boston University Associate Professor of Music Michelle LaCourse, presents a pedagogical approach to all aspects of viola playing and performance through individual and group study.

  • Explore every aspect of viola playing, from posture to musicality
  • Study the fundamentals of technique: left hand and intonation, right hand, tone, scales
  • Develop musicianship, practice skills, and healthy playing
  • Study of solo repertoire
  • Individualized attention and masterclasses
  • Performance opportunities
  • Boston University transferable course credit
