IT Audit Manager, IT Audit & Special Projects
Sam joined Boston University in November 2024 as an IT Audit Manager. Before this role, he served as the IT Audit Director at Green Dot Bank, successfully leading critical technology audit initiatives to enhance organizational security and compliance. Before that, Sam was the IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Director at Beaumont Health, where he spearheaded strategic IT risk management and compliance programs, aligning them with industry standards and organizational goals.
Having called Michigan home for the past 25 years, Sam loves all things Michigan—from the serene beauty of Mackinac Island to the vibrant Tulip Festival in Holland. His pride in the Great Lakes State extends to his unwavering support for its beloved sports teams, including the Wolverines, Lions, and Detroit Tigers—in that order! Sam is also a creative thinker and a lifelong learner, finding inspiration in the timeless poetry of Robert Frost to navigate the complexities of technology with a thoughtful and balanced perspective. He also profoundly appreciates old Persian poetry, particularly the works of Indian poets like Allama Iqbal and Mir Dard, whose profound themes of spirituality and humanity resonate deeply with him.
