Mark DiCristofaro (CGS ’06, COM ’08)   returned to the College of General Studies on Friday, April 20th  to speak about “Hollywood 101: Tips and Tricks on going from BU to Working in the Film/TV Industry.”

He  shared his experiences as young alumnus transitioning from student at Boston University into his career working in the film and TV industry.   With grace and generosity,  he shared tips and tricks on networking, finding jobs, working freelance vs. full-time, working on the east coast vs. west coast, financial considerations as a full-timer vs. freelancer, and more.

He also conveyed the  advantages of staying connected as BU alumni and maintaining collaborative relationships with classmates after continuing on from Boston University.  About twenty people– incoming freshmen and their parents, current CGS freshmen and sophomores, and COM seniors–attended this BU networking opportunity.
