Compound Fractures at BU's Boston Playwrights' Theatre

  • Starts: 8:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2019
  • Ends: 1:31 am on Saturday, April 26, 2025

Advertising executive, Paige Azzurro, lives her entire life without rocking the boat. An overachiever in the boardroom, she is married to her career instead of her ex-boyfriend who broke up with her for not having enough time for their relationship. Paige is surrounded by her overbearing zany family, including her cousin Frankie, a new stay-at-home mom who wished she was still working as an investment banker instead of changing diapers; her brother Luke, a salesman by day and musician by night; and her mother Fina, who gives her too much unwanted advice as well as a panic attack or two.

Approaching her 40th birthday she is looking for a big change and that’s just what she is about to get. One fateful day after leaving a top secret meeting with the president of a competitive ad agency in New York City, Paige slips off the curb while hailing a cab and fractures more than her leg.

Compound Fractures is a play written by Lisa Cocciardi (CGS’89, COM’91), directed by Thomas Martin (CFA’15), and produced by Two Sharp Quills. Performances will take place on April 5 at 8 PM, on April 6 at 2 PM and 8 PM, and on April 7 at 2 PM. To purchase tickets go to the URL above or call Ovation Tix at 866-811-4111.
