About

Welcome to the Children’s Center! Our Center has been providing high-quality early childhood education and care to families of the Boston University community since 1978. For over 40 years, our program was located near West Campus and consisted of one large family-style classroom of 33 children ages two through five.

In the summer of 2020, the Center moved into a beautifully renovated historic home in the Cottage Farm neighborhood of Brookline and began to serve children ages infant through entering Kindergarten. The Center has always sought to be an extension of home for the children and families who are part of our community, so there is no better place for our program to move into than a beautiful old home.  Click here to learn more about our Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs.

The Children’s Center is a nonprofit, University owned and operated childcare center. We are a center that is driven by our mission and values, and our budget is developed to provide the highest-quality early childhood educational experience for your family. Your child’s tuition directly supports all aspects of our program operation, including the low teacher-child ratios, professional development trainings, and high-quality developmentally appropriate classroom materials. With generous support from the University, we are able to provide a rich learning environment where your child thrives every day.
