CIMS Announces 2023 Fall Film Series

This week, CIMS announced the 2023 Fall Film Series, including the line-up of films to be presented. This semester, the series will consist of six screening events from different CIMS faculty members.

On Tuesday, September 19, Visiting Assistant Professor Alex Denison will present Olivier Assayas’ Personal Shopper (2016); on Wednesday, October 4, CIMS Director and Professor Jonathan Foltz with present Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010); on October 10, Professor Abigail Gillman will present Avi Nesher’s The Matchmaker (2010); on October 25, Dr. Matthew Creighton will present Alain Resnais’ Night and Fog (1956); on November 7, Professor Yoon Sun Yang will present Bong Joon-Ho’s Mother (2009); and on November 28, Dr. Sean Desilets will present Julia Ducournau’s Titane (2021).

The CIMS Fall Film Series offers a special look inside CIMS classrooms. Six CIMS faculty have selected a film from their Fall 2023 syllabus to present to the greater CIMS and BU community. Visit this link for more information about the upcoming Fall Film Series events.

Each film in the series will be screened in COM B05 beginning at 5:00 pm, and they are all open to the BU community at large.
