CISS Names Faculty Recipients of Paid Undergraduate Internships

The Center is pleased to announce the fourth annual cohort of faculty participants in the Undergraduate Research Internship program.  The internship program matches faculty researchers with undergraduate interns, and provides interns first-hand experience with all aspects of the research process – including data collection, analysis, and writing. A research showcase in April 2025 will feature presentations by the 2024-25 cohort of student intern-mentor teams.  The interns have the opportunity to participate in a new one-credit Hub co-curricular focused on the fundamentals of social science research. More information on the interns, their projects, and their future career plans will be forthcoming on the CISS website. CISS is delighted to be able to fund nine faculty mentor-student intern pairs this year, supported in part by the T. Scott Miyakawa Endowment Fund for the Social Sciences.  The faculty mentors represent 8 different BU social departments. Congratulations to the mentors and their soon-to-be named student interns!
