Meghann Lucy is a Ph.D. candidate in the Sociology department. She is interested in consumption, excess, inequality, medical sociology, and how these intersect. More specifically, she studies the medicalization of consumption and accumulation patterns, namely, hoarding behaviors, and representations of normative consumption. In Spring 2022, Lucy received both a travel grant to present at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the American Sociological Association and funds to hire an undergraduate research assistant provided by CISS. More information on this grant can be found in our featured article here.
