Classical Studies PhD Student
She/Her
Eiman is a first year PhD student in Classical Studies. She was born and raised in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed her undergraduate degree in Classics and the Ancient World at University College London, UK. She went on to earn her MPhil in Classics at the University of Cambridge in 2022, where she completed thesis work on narratological strategies in Ovid’s love poetry. Her primary research interests lie in questions of meta-text, interpretational authority, and seminality of meaning in the canon Ovidiae, the symbolic resonance of the goddess Venus across the literary, religious, and material culture of Rome, as well as wider Latin elegy and Augustan literature. When she’s not working on her studies, Eiman is on a mission to find the perfect cappuccino to document and review for her coffee blog.
