Eleonora Grotteria is a second-year PhD student in Classical Studies at Boston University. She earned a BA in Classics and two Masters in Classical Philology and in Ancient History at the University of Bologna (IT), having written two theses, respectively, on Pausanias the Periegetes’ account on two small Arcadian cities, Phigalìa and Stymphalos, and on Plutarch of Chaeronea’s account on divine signs in the Bioi. Eleonora’s main fields of interest are Ancient Religion and Classical Greek History, with a particular interest in the sociology of religion and in the role of emotions in Greek and Roman politics.
