John Griffin

John is a third-year undergraduate working toward the BA/MA in Ancient Greek and Latin. His interests include Ovid, the comic theatre, and late antiquity. More broadly, he is interested in black comedy and the intersection of violence with humor in ancient literature. John is an amateur translator whose versions of Nonnus and Boethius have appeared in Arion. In his spare time, he can be found acting in or directing theatrical productions with BU’s amateur dramatic troupes Shakespeare Society and Wandering Minds.
