Professor Aaron B. Beeler

Professor Beeler received a B.S. in Biology from Belmont University and a Ph.D. in May 2002 in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Mississippi under Professor John M. Rimoldi. He joined Boston University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate under Professor John A. Porco in May 2002 and the CMLD-BU in May 2003.

Aaron became the Assistant Director of CMLD-BU in March 2005. He led efforts in the Center’s library synthesis activities for over ten years, and directed a collabrative project with MIT to develop an automated microflow synthesis system.

In 2012, Aaron was promoted to Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at Boston University. The Beeler Research Group focuses on medicinal chemistry, technology development and the development of photochemical methodology for the synthesis of natural products and complex biorelevant chemotypes.
