LSEB 932 Access Restrictions

  • The maximum capacity for Room 932 will be three (3) people.

  • Instrument users will be required to occupy one of four designated workstations (one person max per station, maximum of three stations occupied at a time):

    • EPR workstation

    • NMR workstation

    • UPLC workstation

    • Chiral prep HPLC workstation

    • When the room is at maximum capacity (3), additional waiting spots will be marked in a queue at 6 foot intervals on the floor in the outside hallway

NMR

  • “Walk-up” access to the NMR will no longer be permitted. Users MUST reserve all NMR time in the exiting Faces Reservation System. Failure to do so will result in loss of access to the instrument.

  • For the time that labs are operating at reduced capacity, restrictions on NMR usage will be relaxed to a maximum of 30 consecutive minutes during peak hours. We will return to 15 minute limits when labs come back to full capacity.

UPLC

  • Use of the UPLC will continue to be walkup with no reservation needed, with the aforementioned room and workstation capacity restrictions

  • If someone is using the UPLC, please wait in a queue in the hallway, with one person in the “on deck” waiting area (Chiral Prep HPLC are) if room capacity allows

  • The UPLC data processing station will be decommissioned. We will soon be updating with guidance on remote access and processing for UPLC data.

Chiral Preparative HPLC

  • Chiral Prep HPLC time should be also reserved using the Faces Reservation System
