About Us

The Center on Health Services Training and Research (CoHSTAR) is dedicated to advancing health services and health policy research in physical therapy. The Center was initiated in 2015 and is funded by the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research.

CoHSTAR builds upon the established, broadly based, interdisciplinary, intellectually rigorous and nationally renowned health services research and training infrastructure available at its trio of collaborating institutions: Brown University, Boston University, and University of Pittsburgh. Each institution houses different divisions within the Center.
