COM Gets Top Ranking for Film and Public Relations

The College of Communication is ranked 13th for “Top 25 Best Film Schools in America” by the Hollywood Reporter. Here at COM, we strive to disrupt the status quo. Home to three alumna who are at the top of the Women in Entertainment Power 100 list, breaking gender barriers has distinguished us from other schools. "So many women in the audience," said Bonnie Arnold (COM’78) at the 2017 commencement. "There were a lot less women when I was there." The Hollywood Reporter also praised our practice of blending film and television in the curriculum. "Unlike most other programs, Boston University doesn't make a distinction between film and TV — a mind-set that department chairman Paul Schneider calls 'an outdated way of thinking that will handicap students who are moving into the rapidly evolving media world.'"
