Why Emerging Media Studies

I chose EMS at Boston University because I have a passion for media, especially new and emerging media. Coming from an undergraduate program also focused on communication, I have experienced and explored all of the aspects of communication, and find myself particularly interested in media communication.

Most Looking Forward To

I am looking forward to take EM 855 with Dr. Guo because I think it is very different from all the classes and courses I have taken during my undergraduate studies. This class is focused on hands-on projects and data analysis which is something I haven’t had the opportunity to try before so I am excited to expand my range of academic knowledge.

After Graduation

I plan to look for a media-related job after graduation, and location does not matter to me because I think that media is growing in every country. I am very interested in working in the makeup/cosmetics industry and want to especially focus on media advocacy for different beauty products.

A Bit About Me

Something about myself is that I am a makeup addict and I really like food. I think these two things can always make me happy whenever I am down or feeling blue. I am trying to explore food in Boston and if you are interested in food we can meet up to explore the option here! Also, I like to meet new people and make new friends. People say I am very talkative, so I think it was destiny that I became a part of COM.
