Six alumni honored at annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony

The College of Communication (COM) honored an national newspaper's Editor in Chief and an award-nominated television Writer & Producer among others at the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Ceremony. The annual award ceremony honors COM alumni for their personal and professional achievements.

This year’s honorees included Audrey Cooper (CAS ’99, COM ’99), Corinne Brinkerhoff (’04), Thomas Cibrowski (’90), Walter Middlebrook (’76) and Michelle Sullivan (’95). The ceremony also presented the first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award to Major General Lewis Curtis (CGS ’53, COM ’55).

"Our annual Distinguished Alumni Awards is a great way to honor those individuals who have taken what they’ve learned at COM and applied it to their professional lives,” said College of Communication Dean Tom Fiedler. “This year’s six recipients have excelled in their respective industries and have been a remarkable testament to the caliber of students COM strives to create.”
