Andy Cohen (COM ’90) Writes Tribute to the Late Sandy Gallin (COM ’62)

Albert "Sandy" Gallin (COM '62) died April 21st 2017 at 76 after a long battle with cancer. He was known in the 70's, 80's and 90's as one of the most powerful talent representatives in the entertainment industry. He managed a diverse array of artists ranging from Dolly Parton and Cher to Richard Pryor and Paula Abdul. Gallin was also honored for his work as executive producer of the Oscar-winning documentary “Common Threads: Stories From the Quilt” (1990), which profiled the people behind the AIDS Memorial Quilt. He also appeared on the cover of Out Magazine’s annual Power Issue in 1994, making him a notable role model for gays and lesbians in the entertainment business.
