“We’re very proud of the work that won this year and the students,” said Doug Gould, professor of the practice, advertising, at COM. “Many teams of BU creative students did remarkable work this year that may not have placed but is still exceptional.”

Pegeen Ryan, professor of the practice, advertising, at COM, added, “Once again our Portfolio students showed they can compete on a global stage and succeed. Congrats to the winners and to all the teams that entered. The work is very impressive and we’re proud to have you representing our program.”

The Young Ones is a national competition sponsored by The One Club for Creativity for students and recent graduates in four competitions: ADC (for disciplines ranging across illustration, art direction, filmmaking and architecture), One Show (for advertising creative briefs), Portfolio (for a collection of work in a single discipline), and TDC (for lettering, type design and typography).

The awards helped propel Boston University to No. 12 in the Global Creative College Rankings, as tallied by The One Club for Creativity.
