Hothouse Productions film wins runner-up in the 2016 Neuro Film Festival.

The film “Love is Out There: A Story of Love, Loss and Resilience in the Face of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD)” tells the story of Katie Brandt and the loss of her husband to FTD. "After losing my husband to the rare neurological disorder FTD, I couldn't keep silent about our experience. I wanted to use the power of my voice to raise awareness and inspire hope. By partnering with the students from Hothouse; Laura Goodfriend (COM ’16), Mike Faller (COM’ 16), Grace Michaud (COM ‘16) and Ghita Benslimane (COM ‘15), I was suddenly part of a team that could amplify my voice” says Brandt.

The film was one of sixty-six entries submitted to the 7th Annual Neuro Film Festival, dedicated to raising awareness about the need for funding for the prevention, treatment and cure of brain disease.
