Women on Top with Jodi Luber

jodi-luber

Ever wonder what it’s like to be a female CEO? To start a business from scratch, raise money from investors (as in, raise Venture Capital in Silicon Valley during the dot com boom when CEOs and investors were predominantly male!)

Women on Top will focus on how women can navigate and succeed in male-dominated business arenas. Professor Jodi Luber is a Master Lecturer in the Film and Television department. She has worked as both a freelance writer and produced for cable television. She is also co-founder of womensforum.com, a top-10 website for women. Luber will discuss how you can leverage your strengths by recognizing that the multi-tasking, marketing, collaborative, creative, and network-building skills that many women possess are actually the pillars of building a great company. She will also discuss how to determine if your idea has what it takes to become a business and what to do next. Should you find a partner, raise money, or go it alone? Do you need an MBA? How do you know if you are cut out to be a CEO?

If you've ever wondered what it was like to be a Woman on Top or venture out on your own, join Professor Jodi Luber on November 23rd and find out.
