About Anran Tang
Why I chose Emerging Media Studies at Boston University
I was majoring in Strategic Communication during my undergraduate study in Ohio State University, and I took several courses that taught me how to do research to reach certain conclusion and generate ideas. I found it fascinating when you use data as a backup, or a proof for the ideas you present. In my junior year, I took a class in which me and my group-mates conducted a research on the influence of social media on our personality. It gave me an image on how much millennials rely on social media. Everything is about social media, and the better idea is to embrace it, study it, and utilize it.
Plans For After Graduation
After graduating from EMS program, I hope to work in research firm or well-known enterprises and do data-related jobs.
More About Me
I developed some of the rarest interests and hobbies even before I was a teenager. Around 10 I started to write fictions, and even now I sometimes enjoy my time-off with creative writing. Art, and especially cinema art is also something that I choose to focus on during my spare time, and during my high-school time I've watched some of the most bizarre but artistic films that most people wouldn't even think of watching them. I am currently learning Japanese, as Japanese culture is really appealing to me.
