“My association with COM began in 2001 when I was accepted as a student into the graduate program. My student experience at COM altered the course of my life in many important ways. I benefited from engaging lectures from some of the most renowned authorities in the communication industry including Dr. Otto Lerbinger and Dr. Melvin Defleur. I also sat in courses led by Dr. Edward Downes and Michael Dowding that sharpened my professional skills and prepared me for the next phase of my career as an on-the-record spokesman for a member of Congress. I completed the program in London under the direction of Dr. John Schulz, who provided a framework to expand how I now think about global events, media and foreign governments. As an instructor, I try my very best to emulate their unique approaches to teaching and dedication to students.”
