About Robert Gustafson

Robert Gustafson is a writer/producer/director with 20 years of production experience in TV and New Media. He has produced over 400 hours of primetime TV ranging from large network shows like “American Idol” and “Hell’s Kitchen” to smaller cable shows on MTV, A&E, and TLC. Robert was nominated for two Emmys as a producer. His first was for HGTV’s home renovation series, “Build Small, Live Anywhere” and in 2017 he received his second Emmy nomination as a producer on Hallmark Channel’s daily talk show, “Home & Family”. Previous to that he served as the Showrunner for DIY Network’s, “I Hate My Yard”.

Robert also has extensive experience as a development producer, bringing both scripted and non-scripted projects to a variety of networks, studios, and online platforms. In 2019 he moved from Los Angeles to Western Massachusetts and a year later he officially launched his own production company, Bob’s Big Ideas, bringing his traditional TV skillset to the heart of New England.
