About Arham Muneer

Prior to BU

I graduated from Ithaca College in May 2017 after which I went back home to Islamabad, Pakistan. After a much needed break, I started working at a small production company as a video editor and for the past couple of months, as their video team manager. I'll be continuing to work there over most of the summer until I fly to BU in the fall.

Why Television

During my undergraduate degree, I came to realize the important role mainstream media - especially television - plays in shaping the idea of 'normal' in a society. In pursuing my graduate degree in Television, I hope to further learn about the process of film and television production while also learning about the power of television in bringing positive change in society.

BU's program attracted me the most because of the rigorous and challenging production courses it offers along with the professional internship opportunities available in Boston and through BU's LA program.

Most Looking Forward To

Apart from the academics, I am most looking forward to living in America's Walking City because I love walking around exploring places. I'm also looking forward to being a Graduate Resident Assistant on campus because I love working with college students.

After Graduation

After graduation, I hope to work either in NYC or in LA in the film and television industry for some time to learn about on-set production and production management. Ideally, I would like to work directly under a Line Producer and learn the ropes. In a few years, I hope to go back to school for my PhD either in the US or in the UK.

A Bit About Me

I speak 5 languages - Urdu, English, French, Punjabi, and German (very little, though).
