About Tim Palmer

Tim Palmer BSC is a cinematographer working on high end television drama series for mainstream networks and streaming services. Notable recent credits include ‘The Last Kingdom’ for Netflix, ‘Killing Eve’ for BBC America and ‘Line of Duty’ for Netflix/BBC. Tim was invited to join the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) in 2013 and in the same year was nominated for a Royal Television Society award for his work on ‘The Suspicions of Mr Whicher’. He serves as a governor on the BSC board of governors and is a full member of the British Academy of Film and Television Artists (BAFTA). Tim is currently writing a book for Focal Press/Routledge entitled ‘Cinematography and Lighting for Television’, due for publication in 2023/2024.
