Speakers & Honorees
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick delivered Boston University’s 141st Commencement Address. Nancy Hopkins, MIT molecular biologist, gave the Baccalaureate Address. Taryana Andrea Gilbeau (COM ’14) was the Student Speaker.
Also receiving honorary degrees were: Mayim Bialik, actress, writer, & neuroscientist; Michael Brown, CEO & Co-Founder of Boston’s City Year; William H. Cosby, Jr.*, actor & comedian; and Rajen A. Kilachand, philanthropist & President and Chair of the Dodsal Group.
*On December 10, 2015 the University’s Board of Trustees voted to revoke the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters that was conferred on William Cosby.
