The Boston University LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff supports the success of LGBTQIA+ communities and their intersecting identities at BU. As the first center dedicated to the flourishing LGBTQIA+ faculty and staff in the nation, the center works with the greater BU community to build a network of advocates and allies that help uplift LGBTQIA+ members of the BU community and garner institutional support to promote the recruitment and retention of LGBTQIA+ faculty & staff. The center provides programming, professional development, and collaboration opportunities that center the diverse experiences of LGBTQIA+ employees and further academic inquiry into LGBTQIA+ scholarship. As a physical and virtual space, the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff aims to encourage community and belonging for LGBTQIA+ Terriers and educational opportunities for their allies.
