Marie McDonough

In addition to serving as the Writing Coordinator for Core, Marie Satya McDonough is a Senior Lecturer in the CAS Writing Program and in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. Her teaching and research interests include comics, contemporary literature, queer theory, African American and Indigenous Studies, and inclusive pedagogy. She is the translator of Elisabetta Basso’s Young Foucault: The Lille Manuscripts on Psychopathology, Phenomenology, and Anthropology, 1952–1955 (Columbia University Press, 2022), of Michel Foucault’s Binswanger and Existential Analysis (forthcoming from Columbia University Press), and of a new edition of Michel Foucault’s Birth of the Clinic (forthcoming from Routledge). In addition to teaching in the Core Humanities sequence, she is hopelessly devoted to CC 222.
