100 Bay State Road – Construction Activity for the period August 18 – September 1

For August 18 through September 1 you may expect:

The installation of the green roof continues and is why the crane and fenced in construction area remain on Bay State Road.  We regret this continued inconvenience to our Bay State Road neighbors.  We expect the roof work to be completed and the fence removed by or before August 31.

The Kenmore Parking Lot will be completed this weekend and the construction fence removed early next week.  The staffs of the Educational Resource and Career Development Center, CAS Academic and Pre-Professional Advising have completed their move in and are now busy preparing for the upcoming semester.  Dining Services has been testing and training their staffs on the new equipment.  The CAS Writing Program faculty will begin settling into their offices next week.

Completion of the myriad of punch list items is ongoing but will become less and less in the public view over the next two weeks.  Next week the Resident Assistants (RAs) return to campus for their training and, as such, will be the first to experience the new dining concepts offered in this facility.  On Thursday, August 23rd the University will host an open house for employees from 3:00-5:00pm.

In addition to the work on the new Center for Student Services, there are many other projects happening over the summer. To learn more about what is happening in the coming months, visit our website. We will also start sending out updates on New Balance Field as the project progresses, so you can subscribe if you are interested.
