Joan and Edgar Booth Theatre & Boston University Production Center – Construction Activity – October 27, 2017 – November 13, 2017
For October 27, 2017 through November 13, 2017:
- Permitted by the Town of Brookline and in accordance with the approved Construction Management Plan, authorized work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday work schedules must be requested and approved by the Town.
- Brookline Police details will continue to be posted at the construction site entrance gate at Dummer Street, to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
- Completion of Essex and Dummer street sidewalk placement
- Completion of structural slab installation at the north plaza
- Placement of structural slab at east and west plazas
- Installation of plaza pavers in the fourth floor courtyard of the theatre building
- Completion of waterproofing at the north, east, and west exterior plazas
- Development of lobby space finishes
- Installation of countertops and sinks in public and private restrooms
Key Construction Activities
- Place stone base of theatre building plaza walls at select locations beneath the metal panels
- Installation of Geofoam beneath the structural plaza slab near Commonwealth Avenue. The north plaza development is one of the next construction focal points of the project.
- Complete membrane roofing on the theatre building
