PMWeb is Now Live!
January 30, 2019
We are excited to announce that our new project management system, PMWeb, is now live! This new system is part of a multi-year strategic planning initiative designed to transform critical processes, clarify roles and responsibilities, and create a new organization structure that rolled out in October 2018 to enhance facilities-related support for the University’s research, academic, and student life programs.
Over 100 projects in the early stages of planning or design have been transferred from CAMMS. Your new requests will be routed through the approval process and assigned to a project manager based on available resources.
PMWeb’s functionality will allow for:
- Automation of workflows, providing the ability to know exactly where a project is in the project lifecycle, in addition to automated notifications to keep clients and team members aware of pending tasks and action items.
- Enhanced communications with clients and leadership through the use of dynamic dashboards to provide status on financials, schedules, scope and issues for projects.
- Creation of a shared tool for project documents with a consistent structure, to improve collaboration, visibility, and maintenance of project documents during the project and after close out.
For the first time, project information regarding scope, schedule, budget, resources and contracts associated with a myriad portfolio of facilities-related projects will be available on a single platform.
If you attended one of our training sessions, you can now make projects requests and monitor projects transferred from CAMMS to PMWeb. For the first time, project information regarding scope, schedule, budget, resources and contracts associated with a myriad portfolio of facilities-related projects will be available on a single platform.
If you have not attended a training session, stay tuned for training opportunities throughout February or contact Gerry Broderick in Campus Planning & Operations to schedule.
Looking forward to your involvement and should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
