Continued excavation in the tower

During the weekend of October 17th

  • On Saturday, crews will be on-site to continue with the installation of bracing for the Support Of Excavation (SOE) system.

During the week of October 19th

  • Excavation continues in the tower portion of the building. Material is being removed down to the third level of cross bracing, which is approximately 30 feet down from the previous parking lot grade.
  • The installation of the third level of cross bracing for the SOE is in progress while soils are being removed and the working area is available.
  • In the podium, the installation of rebar and formwork for the foundation walls continue. At the north wall, final details for rebar and formwork will be completed for the concrete pour of the wall that will occur on Monday. Following the pour of the north wall, the focus will turn to installation of rebar and formwork for the south wall, which is scheduled to receive concrete at the end of the week.
