808 Commonwealth Avenue
19,000 square feet at 808 Commonwealth Avenue was being renovated for the expansion of the Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground (HTC), which was formerly located in the basement of the George Sherman Union. The center expanded into what was previously the 808 Gallery on the first floor, occupying 2/3 of the existing space, as well as space on the second floor. The 808 Gallery continues to operate in the remaining space on the first floor. The project, completed in early 2020, increases the HTC’s footprint fivefold, brings it to a prominent location in the center of the Charles River Campus, and activates the very visible showroom space in a historic building.
