Boston University Summer Term High School Programs seek applications for Computer Science Summer Challenge instructors.

Boston University Summer Term High School Programs is currently seeking instructors to teach one or more sections of the Computer Sciance seminar in the Summer Challenge program.

Summer Challenge (http://www.bu.edu/summer/high-school-programs/summer-challenge/) is one of our most popular pre-college programs. It is offered each summer to rising high school sophomores, juniors, seniors. For two weeks, admitted students take two seminars in topics of their choice. The seminars are typically taught by either BU faculty members or advanced graduate students at BU. All seminars will be held in person on BU’s Charles River campus. 

The Computer Sciance seminars are offered over the following dates and times. Instructors teach Monday through Friday each week. Their responsibilities include developing and delivering course content; providing feedback to students; directing final projects; and writing final evaluations of each student. No grades are assigned in Summer Challenge.

  • Session 2, mornings (9:30 – 11:30 am): July 8 – July 19 
  • Session 2, afternoons (1:00 – 3:00 pm): July 8 – July 19 
  • Session 3, afternoons (1:00 – 3:00 pm): July 22 – August 2  

The compensation for each two-week seminar is $2,900.
