The Department of Computer Science (CS) at Boston University invites applications for full-time Post-Baccalaureate Academic Fellow (PAF) openings in support of CS and experiential learning instruction programs for the 2024-2025 academic year. This innovative PAF program is designed for recent recipients of bachelor’s degrees in CS or DS who are planning to pursue academic or professional careers. The CS Post-baccalaureate Academic Fellows provide teaching support for four CS courses (two in the fall and two in the spring). Fellows will teach discussion sections (0.25 course equivalents each), work under the direction of the faculty to mentor and coordinate the activities of the undergraduate members of the teaching team (such as Course Assistants and graders), and perform administrative duties such as maintaining attendance records, assisting with grading, developing plans for discussion sections, proctoring exams, managing online communication platforms like Piazza, etc. PAFs may also have the opportunity to conduct supervised research with CS faculty in their area of interest. Appointments are full-time 9-month positions  (Sept. 1 2024 until May 31 2025), with the possibility of renewal for one additional term, based on performance, interest, and institutional need. PAF compensation for the 2024-2025 academic year is $63,000 paid over nine months and benefits as described here: https://www.bu.edu/hr/employee-resources/benefits/
