Bio

Fan Yang is the lead of Google’s networking protocol team and an Adjunct Faculty at Boston University. He drove Google’s industry-first internet-scale deployment of HTTP/3 (HTTP over QUIC), helping shape and optimize the flow of traffic on the modern internet and greatly decreasing latency for all Google products and services. Before joining Google, Fan Yang received his PhD in 2015 from University of Delaware, where he worked in Professor Paul D. Amer’s Protocol Engineering Lab.
