PT Lecturer
`Dr. El-Sheikh is a part-time Lecturer in Computer Science and an experienced software engineer with expertise developing multi-tiered database driven computing systems. To his classes he brings a solid understanding of Scrum methodologies. He has led team development as Scrum Master, identifying, scoping and sizing tasks, and overseen Client/Server database development including Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access. He has a demonstrated Track record of migrating legacy client/server applications to more modern technologies – including data migration from Oracle to MS SQL Server. In the classroom he shares his expertise in object-oriented design and analysis, including Delphi, Java, C#, Android and .NET technologies, his working knowledge of core Oracle OCI Client API, and his experience writing custom Oracle Clients, without middleware. He has worked with clients such as the Federal Department of Transportation, the Department of Health and Human Services for the state of Maine, Philips Healthcare, Harvard University, and many others.
Dr. El-Sheikh regularly teaches Android Mobile Application Development (CAS CS 591) in the CAS Department of Computer Science, and also taught in BU’s Metropolitan College and at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies.
