Opportunity
Abt Associates seeks a Web Implementation Specialist to support the Client Technology Center. At Abt Associates, you will have the opportunity to contribute to emerging policy research and program support, develop your analytical and programming skills, and be challenged by your colleagues and work. Abt Associates is seeking a web developer that has quantitative skills, programming skills, and is proven to be a good writer and creative thinker. In this position, you will be an active part of an experienced, multi-disciplinary (and fun!) team working for U.S. Government clients. This position will be based in Cambridge, MA.
The ideal candidate will have experience building web forms and applications. S/he will be experienced using front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. The ideal candidate will have a diverse knowledge base with a background in database design/analysis, web design/programming, computer programming, and an interest in the social sciences. Although the primary responsibility is web design, the successful candidate will be responsible for some content creation, requiring strong writing skills.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Build web forms and applications using front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Develop web strategy and web information architecture, including sitemaps and wireframes.
- Build websites using predefined template structures to respond to client needs.
- Acts as liaison with internal clients and end users to ensure positive web experience.
- Ensures information design and graphic design of web site pages.
- Support data analyses efforts using statistical and database software.
- Ensures that all documents meet established content standards.
- Create associated documentation for projects, including requirements, training manuals, and project summaries for internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science or a related field and 1 to 2 years of experience.
