Health Informaticist
Job Summary: The National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare is seeking to hire a full-time informatician with a strong background in data extraction, transformation, and analysis. This candidate should have experience with SQL, a statistical computing language, and a high level programming language such as Python. This position also requires a basic knowledge of data modeling and database architecture. The ideal candidate should share our center’s vision and passion for innovation, research, and improving patient safety and healthcare. Expected responsibilities will include data querying, cleaning, transforming, and analyzing.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Master’s degree in a computer science or information technology related field preferred or 5+ years’ experience and a BA/BS in computer science or information technology.
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years experience with data analysis using SQL and exposure to statistical computing languages, and high level programming languages. Experience with CCL is strongly preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong analytical competencies; Experience with SQL, statistical computing (R preferred), a high level programming language (Python preferred).
